With over 20 years of extensive hands-on experience in the U.S. and internationally, Eduardo Goldszal possesses a comprehensive background in all major tax issues affecting multinationals from both U.S. and foreign perspectives. His expertise spans transfer pricing, strategic tax planning, tax minimization, compliance, business valuation, and controversy resolution.
Eduardo is highly proficient in addressing a wide range of tax matters, including FIN 48, Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS), Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs), and the recent US Tax Reform (Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017). He has developed a robust "Best Practices" mentality and methodology, ensuring the highest standards in tax processes.
Additionally, Eduardo brings significant experience in business valuation, particularly in valuing complex intellectual property and tangible assets.
Jeroen has over 20 years of experience in tax, specializing in both inbound and outbound transactions. Throughout his career, he has worked with companies across various industries, serving a diverse client base that includes publicly traded companies listed on major stock markets in Europe and the U.S.
Recently, Jeroen led the tax department of a Dutch accounting and tax firm. Before that, he held a senior advisory position in the International Tax Department at Deloitte in the Netherlands.
Jeroen has managed a wide range of tax projects, including cross-border investments, repatriation of cash and earnings, group refinancing, supply chain optimization, transfer pricing planning and documentation, tax rulings and audit defense, tax accounting and documentation, TCF, and VAT mapping. Over the years, he has developed strong working relationships with a vast network of tax advisers, in-house tax managers, and Dutch tax authorities.
Actively engaged in the latest developments in international tax law, Jeroen is knowledgeable about BEPS, ATAD, MLI, CBC, and TP documentation requirements, as well as tax accounting regulations. He is also a frequent speaker at international tax and business conferences worldwide. Jeroen is based in the Netherlands.
Célia Castanheiro serves as the Managing Director of Quantera Global Portugal, the Portuguese subsidiary of the Dutch multinational Quantera Global, a leading independent advisory firm specializing in transfer pricing. Additionally, she is the Partner responsible for tax at Finserg.
Célia holds the position of Chairperson of the Supervisory Board at IMOPÓLIS - Sociedade Gestora de Organismos de Investimento Coletivo, S.A., and is a reserve member of the Supervisory Board at LG Electronics Portugal, SA.
An economist with a specialization in transfer pricing and trade & customs, Célia brings over 25 years of hands-on tax experience, primarily in transfer pricing within a Big Four firm. She joined KPMG in 1998, initially working in the indirect taxes technical group, where she provided technical support to importing and exporting companies in the trade & customs area. She also offered guidance on value-added tax (VAT) for goods and services transactions both domestically and internationally.
From 2000 to 2018, Célia served as a Senior Manager in the Tax Department, focusing on transfer pricing. She was responsible for defining, implementing, and documenting transfer pricing methodologies and policies for national and multinational economic groups. Her solid knowledge and extensive experience include projects related to value chain restructuring for multinational and Portuguese groups.
Célia began her professional career in the financial department of Shell Portuguesa, working in accounting, internal control, and tax.
With 15 years of experience in U.S. corporate and international tax, Lili Batista has a solid background in both major public accounting firms and in-house corporate tax departments. Her expertise includes corporate and international tax planning, compliance, cross-border transactions, investment in U.S. property, subpart F, foreign tax credits, and tax-efficient cash repatriation.
Lili is known for her strong technical skills in tax planning and analysis, as well as her ability to develop and implement process improvements. She has excellent communication skills and a team-oriented philosophy. Additionally, she is proficient with various computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite, tax research tools, and tax preparation software. Lili is bilingual in English and Spanish.
